Master System consoles in Northern Europe

From Sega Retro

This short article is in need of work. You can help Sega Retro by adding to it.

The Sega Master System first appeared in this region in 1987 and debuted in other countries in the following years.

In Scandinavia, quite a lot of attention was paid to the competition between Master System and the NES console.

In the Baltics, the Master System only appeared in the 90s. This was only the second model. Due to the presence of the Mega Drive console on the market, SMS was not the main player and was mainly bought by people who could not afford MD consoles. Despite the fact that the sale was larger than the NES console, it was far behind the popular famiclones.
