Manufacturer: Tec Toy
Built-in games: 81
Release Date RRP Code

The 2007 release of the Mega Drive 3 is a "console on a chip" sold exclusively in Brazil by Sega's Brazilian distributor, Tectoy. Unlike previous releases by the distributor, this was the first Sega Mega Drive to not include a cartridge slot, meaning only the 81 built in games can be played.

The console itself is based off the standard Mega Drive II model (the last Tectoy release to borrow a Sega console design), though is painted white with a blue Tectoy/Mega Drive 3 logo. The console ships with two six button controllers which are interchangeable with other revisions of the console. It also only supports the A/V picture standard, unlike earlier models.

The console is also notable for shipping with a purple marker pen. Tectoy's original plan was to allow users to customise the console with it, though the idea was scrapped in later revisions.
