Mega Preview Tape is a VHS cassette promoting Sega Mega Drive and Sega Game Gear games set for release in 1992. It was distributed with the first issue of Mean Machines Sega.
The video features Mega Drive adverts and largely unaltered gameplay footage of upcoming games (though this footage is bordered with a scrolling information ticker underneath). It is a notorious cassette for showcasing prototype footage of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Batman Returns is compeltely silent and footage of World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck is also very early.
