Mobile Content R&D or Mobile Content Reasearch and Development was the development division in Sega of Japan dedicated to mobile development. It was Wave Master who initially started mobile phone development with mobile phone services that have a monthly fee. The team behind the PuyoSega, Sonic Cafe, Ulala no Channel J, Sega Ages services spun off from Wave Master. Over times iOS and Android became the major focus for Sega, culminating into the Sega Networks subsidiary being established in July of 2012.
