Monster Hunter is an unreleased Sega Mega Drive game designed to use the Sega Menacer. It was originally announced for a Christmas 1993 release date, but never materialised, despite being one of the first Menacer games to be announced.

Monster Hunter would have seen the player shoot at various monsters, including dinosaurs and mutants. It was set to be a two player game (in which the second players uses a standard control pad) and be shipped on a 1MB cartridge. Only one screenshot of the game has been found, despite plans by Sega of America to run expensive TV and print advertising campaigns for the game.

This game is completely unrelated to the successful Monster Hunter series by Capcom, originating on the PlayStation 2 in 2004.
