OutRun 2 is a 2003 arcade racing game developed by Sega for Sega Chihiro hardware. It is the first and only major followup to the original Out Run since Turbo OutRun and OutRunners.
Gameplay is similar to the original Out Run, but with a number of new mechanics; Ridge Racer-style drifting and slipstreaming is the most obvious. A variety of Ferraris were introduced (courtesy of an official Ferrari license), a new set of 15 European-themed routes to drive through were developed, and the classic Out Run music was revisited and joined by new songs. A new "Heart Attack" mode was added where you have to fulfill various small challenges as you drive.
