The Pocket MD, also known as the MD-360, is a handheld console-on-a-chip by an unknown Japanese manufacturer. It closely resembles a PlayStation Portable and can play Sega Genesis and Sega Mega Drive cartridges, but has no games built-in. It has a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD but can also be connected to a TV set. Unlike the GenMobile, The shell and face buttons have not been modified to match the 6-button Genesis controller. Also unlike some other Genesis consoles-on-a-chip, the PSG channels play in the correct pitch. It is available in mirror black, silver, and blue. It has a built-in rechargeable battery pack.
Other Versions
In addition, was also built and distributed by the "Simba's Video Games" with the same appearance and name outside of Chinese market on the territory of CIS.
