NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 1995--The appointment of Clayton Banks as vice president/Eastern region completes Sega Channel's (SM/TM) senior sales staff, it was announced today.

Banks' appointment rounds out the national sales force: Sharon Bennett, vice president/Central region and Dave Rodriguez, vice president/Western region. Reporting to Mark Hess, vice president of affiliate sales and marketing, Banks will be responsible for the distribution and marketing of Sega Channel to subscribers for the East coast and also negotiate affiliation agreements for all East coast based MSO's.

Banks joins Sega Channel from Showtime Networks Inc., where his most recent position was regional director responsible for hiring, managing and developing a sales and marketing team. He has also held various other sales positions at Showtime including manager of national accounts during his six-year tenure. Prior to joining Showtime, Banks was a senior marketing representative with Xerox Corp. Banks has a bachelor's degree from California State University at Fullerton. In addition, Banks is vice president of the New York chapter of the National Association of Minorities in Cable.
