REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 23, 1996--Sega of America Inc. has selected San Francisco-based Ingalls Moranville Advertising (IM) as its new broadcast creative advertising agency for the Sega Saturn next generation videogame system, including Sega Saturn hardware, software, Sega Sports and the new Sega Saturn Net Link internet connector.

IM was selected from a group of six agencies after presentations were made to Sega executives earlier this week.

"All six agencies made outstanding presentations -- but Ingalls Moranville just blew us away with their fresh approach and thinking to our business. They really captured the Sega attitude and are best positioned to help Sega again redefine interactive entertainment advertising," said Tom Kalinske, president and chief executive officer of Sega of America.

"We are excited to the point of delirium to be working with a company that has such a strong commitment to great creative and branding," said David Moranville, creative director for Ingalls Moranville.

Agencies participating in the pitch included Bozell/Salvati Montgomery Sakoda, Foote, Cone & Belding, Ground Zero, McCann Erikson and Dailey & Associates.

Sega of America is the arm of Tokyo-based Sega Enterprises Ltd. responsible for the development, marketing and distribution of Sega videogame systems and videogames in the Americas.

Sega Enterprises Ltd. is a nearly $3.5 billion company recognized as the industry leader in interactive digital entertainment media, and is the only company that offers interactive entertainment experiences both inside and outside the home.
