101 MORE REASONS TO CELEBRATE WITH PICO THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- November 15, 1996 -- Pico, Sega of America's best-selling electronic learning aid (ELA), is seeing spots in order to teach kids the fundamentals of numbers with the launch of "Math Antics with Disney's 101 Dalmatians".
The fourth Storyware title to be released for Pico this year, "Math Antics with Disney's 101 Dalmatians" hits shelves this week across the country.

In Pico's newest edutainment title, children aged 3-7 join Pongo and Perdita on captivating adventures after all 99 Dalmatian puppies are kidnapped by Cruella De Vil. Children choose from two levels, easy or advanced, before solving number problems to help save the puppies from the evil Cruella De Vil. "Math Antics with Disney's 101 Dalmatians" is "involving" while providing instruction on a variety of skills, including counting with ones and tens and determining size relationships.

"Identifying with familiar characters, especially animals, makes it easier for children to associate with the learning process," said Lydia Gable, director of marketing for Pico, Sega of America. "Learning to count with 101 Dalmatians emphasizes the 'fun' in fundamentals."

Math Antics with Disney's 101 Dalmatians Number relationships is the subject of the day as children execute several counting and sequencing games to fill Sergeant Tibbs' wagon full with puppies or guide them safely through a tricky maze. This Pico Deluxe Storyware title is packed with extra graphics and activities as children play the piano and paint by numbers to find hidden pictures! Using the various characters from the story and their own original art, children can also create their own cartoon adventure. "Math Antics with Disney's 101 Dalmatians" is now available for a suggested retail price of $49.99 through retailers nationwide.

Pico is an integrated hardware/software system that plugs into the television set and plays like a videogame, while educating like a computer. Pico is a serious learning aid that provides youngsters an early introduction to numbers, counting, spelling, matching, problem solving, memory, logic and hand/eye coordination. And because Pico can be hooked up to virtually any television set in the house, it is a convenient tool for kids and parents alike. Pico has a suggested retail price of $139.99.
