REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 18, 1997--The blue dude with a "tude" is back!

Sega Entertainment Inc. has announced the release of Sonic and Knuckles Collection, a bundle of Sonic classics with a heap of new features for the PC. Featuring three games for the price of one, the collection will include the retro favorites "Sonic the Hedgehog 3," "Sonic & Knuckles" and "Sonic 3 and Knuckles." Sega Entertainment will release the Sonic and Knuckles Collection on March 14, 1997, for Windows 95. The collection will be available at major retail outlets for a suggested retail price of $29.99. These three Sonic games combined sold more than 4 million copies on Sega Genesis.

"The characteristics that catapulted Sonic as an international icon on Sega Genesis will now draw a whole new audience on the PC," said Jill Braff, product manager, Sega Entertainment. "These classics bring the `spin-dashing,' Sonic speed and action to the PC at a three-for-one value that new and old gamers alike can appreciate. Created in a non-violent setting, the collection also offers new PC users games the whole family can enjoy."

Sonic and Knuckles Collection

The Sonic and Knuckles Collection delivers hours of immersive PC gameplay. An avalanche of action, the collection is complete with famous special moves such as the "SpinSlash," catchy soundtracks and fast-action play, and will offer entirely new routes and secrets in "Sonic 3 & Knuckles." Players can save games for up to six people. As an added bonus, Sega Entertainment is including a free Sonic Screensaver and limited edition comic book with each game purchase.
