Localisation comparisons

Game Gear version

While never released in an English speaking territory (other than as Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine), the Game Gear version of Puyo Puyo was fully translated into English, and will show a localised version, Puzlow Kids if a Western Game Gear is detected.

Directly translating "Puyo Puyo" into English is impossible as it is onomatopoeia, but "Puzlow" isn't a word either. It took over two decades for Sega to become confident using the Japanese name in English territories.
