Revelations: Persona, known as Megami Ibunroku Persona (女神異聞録ペルソナ) in Japan, is a role playing game, developed and published by Atlus for the PlayStation in 1996. It is the first title in the Persona franchise and is a spin-off title from Shin Megami Tensei series. ASCII released a port of the game to Windows PC in 1999, exclusive to Japan.
Sony Interactive Entertainment re-released Revelations: Persona as part of the PlayStation Classic system in December 2018, a dedicated console that includes nineteen other PlayStation games; a similar concept that was applied later to the Mega Drive Mini. Atlus allowed the game to be re-released in Japan and Europe, however, in the Americas, Sega (at the time, Sega Games) is credited as the licensor for Revelations: Persona alongside Atlus. This marks the first re-release of Revelations: Persona with Atlus being part of Sega Sammy Holdings, also marking the first release of the original version outside of Japan and North America.

Atlus and Bbmf released a spin-off of Revelations: Persona for i-mode, S!Appli and EZweb phones as Megami Ibunroku Persona: Ikuu no Tou-hen in 2006. This spin-off would be later ported to both Nintendo Switch and Windows PC (Steam) by G-Mode as part of the G-Mode Archives[3] series in September 2023. Despite both mobile phones and Nintendo Switch versions being exclusively sold only in Japan, the Steam version is sold worldwide, albeit without localization in other languages than Japanese. The re-release of Megami Ibunroku Persona: Ikuu no Tou-hen, alongside other kettai titles from Atlus in the label, does not have the involvement of Sega.
Revelations: Persona got a remake for the PlayStation Portable in 2009, titled as Persona in Japan and as Shin Megami Tensei: Persona worldwide. It was released on digital format in 2010.
A prototype build of the Japanese version of the game was uploaded to Hidden Palace in January 2021.[4]
As of January 2025, Sega does own Megami Ibunroku Persona as a trademark.[5][6]
