Sega Ages Alex Kidd in Miracle World (SEGA AGES アレックスキッドのミラクルワールド) is a re-release of Alex Kidd in Miracle World developed by M2 as the sixth game of the Sega Ages lineup for the Nintendo Switch.

Gameplay

Sega Ages Alex Kidd in Miracle World features a special updated version of the game known as "AGES Mode". This version adds a number of enhancements to the game, such as a new soundtrack recreated with the FM Sound Unit, new still images that are displayed at the beginning of every level, and the ability to continue the game after a Game Over for free without having to enter a button code or pay 400U. When playing this mode, the player can choose to enable the Rewind feature, which enables them to undo the last 5 seconds of gameplay by simply pressing either ZL or ZR; however using this feature will prevent replay data from being saved and scores will not be registered on the leaderboards. The original game can also be played via "Original Mode".

There is also a Challenge Mode where the player can compete for a high score in one of two challenges with their best scores being uploaded to an online leaderboard. The challenges are:

  1. Petit-copter Time Attack: Fly to the goal in the Petit-copter as quickly as possible. Crashing the Petit-copter results in failure.
  2. Castle Quest Time Attack: Defeat Janken the Great and rescue Princess Lora as quickly as possible. The player has infinite lives for this challenge.

Other features include the ability to save game progress, and save replays of the player's best runs in the main game or Challenge Mode. The player may also change the game's region to Japanese, International or Hamburger.
