''Sega GT 2002'' was pitched as Sega's answer to ''Gran Turismo 3'', which had seen success on the [[Sony PlayStation 2]], however is widely considered an inferior gamem with many critics feeling that the game failed to take advantage of the superior specifications of the Xbox console. In North America, it was, for a time, bundled with ''[[Jet Set Radio Future]]'' and sold along with Xbox consoles.
