This venue opened in February 2015 replacing the Safari Fun Centre. The Sega Prize Zone's opening was part of a refurbishment of the Safari Park's arcade which Sega signed a deal with the Park to operate.

Due to a full-scale business review of West Midland Safari Park that took place during early 2019, HB Leisure are planned to take over the arcade in 2020, effectively removing Sega's association and Prize Zone branding.
