TERA-NET was an online dial-up Bulletin Board Service (BBS) ran by Sega of Japan from 1991 - July 1998. Ostensibly for Teradrive owners, although also accessible by owners of other computers with the correct modem settings. Content included downloadable software and drivers for the Teradrive, along with bulletin boards for various subjects such as Teradrive and PC specific boards, but also Sega console specific boards (closely matching the boards on Sega Game Station, it's unclear how much, if any, of this content was interlinked), and general interest boards.

The BBS seems to have gained quite a dedicated community of users, as after the discontinuation of the service, an unofficial fansite; "after-tera.net" was set up on the web which mirrored much of the software originally distributed on TERA-NET, along with archives of the original BBS message boards, and it's own boards which the original TERA-NET community continued to contribute to until late in 2002.
