I don't want to massacrate you with this story guys... but I'll leave some more notes about this ... According to the English page of Sega Toys, ''Sega Toys Co. Ltd'' was established in February 1991 (and  restructured in 1998)... it looks like Canelon in the late 80s was manufacturing many toys for Sega... Sega obtained many licenses of children shows of the time like the NHK shows [http://toys.qee.jp/NHK/konnako/konnako.htm Konna Ko Iru kana (first aired in 1986] (セガ/キャネロン = Sega/Canelon), ([http://toys.qee.jp/NHK/PicoPico/PicoPico.htm Pico Pico Pon (ピコピコポン, first aired in 1987)] (セガ/キャネロン = Sega/Canelon) or  [https://segaretro.org/File:Nikonikopun_Rubber_Stamps_JP_Toy_Box_Front.jpg Niko Niko Pun (first aired in 1988)] (this one is using the good old Sega logo along with Canelon, contrary to the other ones, which only have ''セガ/キャネロン'' written in the box)... so this was probably when Sega decided to create a division dedicated to the commercialization of toys, namely Sega Toys... so there's countless toys like these, which despite not having the SEGA logo printed in them... were certainly a ''fruit'' of this affair between the two companies... thousands of things to document ...--[[User:Asagoth|Asagoth]] ([[User talk:Asagoth|talk]]) 09:14, 19 September 2018 (CDT)

Ok.. uh.. wow, Sega Toys has a lot under their belt. I don't think I can do this all alone... Who can help collect product information?

I noticed Bakugan. What are we going to do with huge media franchises like those, that extend well beyond just video games?

And what about the toy-only things? Are we going to need another category on the sidebar for just toys?

With regards to ピコタウンにでかけよう!, a search of their site only results in http://www.segatoys.co.jp/ir/libra/mokuromisho.pdf — apparently old product pages no longer exist...? Nex's website only shows release information, so :|

The Sega/Canelon (セガ/キャネロン) Affair...

I don't want to massacrate you with this story guys... but I'll leave some more notes about this ... According to the English page of Sega Toys, Sega Toys Co. Ltd was established in February 1991 (and restructured in 1998)... it looks like Canelon in the late 80s was manufacturing many toys for Sega... Sega obtained many licenses of children shows of the time like the NHK shows Konna Ko Iru kana (first aired in 1986 (セガ/キャネロン = Sega/Canelon), (Pico Pico Pon (ピコピコポン, first aired in 1987) (セガ/キャネロン = Sega/Canelon) or Niko Niko Pun (first aired in 1988) (this one is using the good old Sega logo along with Canelon, contrary to the other ones, which only have セガ/キャネロン written in the box)... so this was probably when Sega decided to create a division dedicated to the commercialization of toys, namely Sega Toys... so there's countless toys like these, which despite not having the SEGA logo printed in them... were certainly a fruit of this affair between the two companies... thousands of things to document ...--Asagoth (talk) 09:14, 19 September 2018 (CDT)
