Virtua Fighter PC

From Sega Retro

Remix

So apparently Sega released a "Virtua Fighter Remix" for the PC in November 1995 - this is the version bundled with Diamond EDGE 3D cards and is optimised for the NV1 chipset.

In September 1996, they released "Virtua Fighter PC" which drops NV1 compatibility for DirectX. Except... there were releases in other parts of the world before then, and two Japanese versions called "Virtua Fighter PC". Does this mean there was a software-only release at some point, or did they just not advertise NV1 support?

p.s. something similar seems to have happened with Panzer Dragoon but I've not got to that one (yet) -Black Squirrel (talk) 13:54, 23 March 2019 (EDT)
