The Humans is a 1992 game by Imagitec Design and GameTek released for a variety of platforms including the Sega Mega Drive. The Mega Drive port was only released in the US.

Sega Mega-CD and Sega Game Gear versions (the latter set for a US release in February[3], then July 1993[4]) of the game were in development at one stage. The Game Gear version appeared at Summer CES 1993[5].

Gameplay

The game is an action puzzle game similar to Lemmings. You control several cavemen to achieve various predefined tasks in a set amount of time. A switches between humans. Each human can do one of several predefined actions depending on the existing situation (for instance, forming a human ladder, picking up items, or throwing a spear), using C to switch actions and B to perform them. You have a limited number of humans to work with, and if one gets hurt too many times, they are out of the puzzle for the rest of the game.

For whatever reason, the Mega Drive port only allows you to choose between listening to music or sound effects, not both simultaneously.
