The Ren & Stimpy Show Presents Stimpy's Invention is a 1993 platform game for the Sega Mega Drive by BlueSky Software and Sega based on the Ren & Stimpy cartoon.

The game combines standard action platforming with a few gimmick stages such as a flying or riding a bike. Curiously, the game lacks a final boss. Instead, a weird machine built by Stimpy must be disabled by pushing 4 switches.

Story

Stimpy shows off his latest invention to Ren Hoek, the Mutate-O-Matic, which is a machine that transforms ordinary household garbage into delicious food. Ren thinks he's crazy, and to prove he's not, Stimpy turns on the machine, only to accidentally turn it to its highest setting. This results in the machine overloading and exploding, scattering its pieces all over the place. To fix it, the duo must recollect the scattered parts, reassemble the machine, and switch it off.

Gameplay

The game can be played cooperatively or alone, similar to World of Illusion. A is for far jumps, running or digging, B is for attacks and C is for standard jumps. In single player mode, the active character can be swapped by pausing the game and pressing B. The inactive character is invincible and can be used as a shield. A bonus life is awarded for collecting 50000 points.
