Worms 3D is an entry in the Worms series of games, developed by Team 17. Worms 3D was the first attempt at bringing this series into the third dimension.

The game was originally published in Europe by Sega for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC. In early 2004 Acclaim Entertainment published the GameCube, PlayStation 2 and PC in North America, however the Xbox port was delayed in this region. When it eventually arrived (early 2005), this too was published by Sega.

Sega would also publish the sequel, Worms Forts: Under Siege. The franchise is now in the hands of other publishers.
