ZCT Systems Group, Inc. was an American computer software company[2] and video game developer notable for developing the unreleased Sega VR game Matrix Runner.

Company

ZCT Systems Group was founded by Tandy Corporation employee Greg Zumwalt in 1982[1], and is most remembered for its pioneering use of smooth three-dimensional graphics in many of its titles.

In 1992, Sega of America contracted development of the Sega VR game Matrix Runner to ZCT Systems Group. While it appears substantial development on the game had been completed, the headset itself was experiencing a number of issues on both hardware and software fronts, and the project was eventually deemed too risky a gamble to see through. Matrix Runner, much like the virtual reality headset itself, would ultimately never see the light of day.
