- I believe Kalinske was the main push behind this, after his encounter with Anique Kaspar and her family at Disneyland. Kalinske was very familiar with effective corporate philanthropy (which was a priority at Mattel.)

- Sega Media Center: A state-of-the-art multimedia laboratory (computer lab) at SFSU. A collaboration between Sega, MESA, National Science Foundation, San Jose State University, San Francisco State University, and Intel.[1]
- KIIS and Unite: April 25, 1992, Irvine Meadows Ampitheatre: Celine Dion, Kid 'n Play, Eddie Money, Color Me Badd, Rick Dees (KIIS' main DJ), others. Took place during the daytime, likely. Conceptualized and organized by KIIS station director Bill Richards, and connected to Kalinske via key station staffer Cheryl Quiroz. Quiroz approached SoA because they couldn't find any professional organizations willing to sponsor a concert about pediatric AIDS.
- Mostly funded nonprofit organizations but accepted small grants from $500-$2,500[2]
- "Sega Foundation" might be the unofficial term, and the summary's intro might need those names swapped.
