Action games
From Sega Retro
The Action Game genre has been an important part of Sega history from its inception: early electro-mechanical arcade games laid the foundation for what we would consider modern action games. The foundation of the Sega Master System was laid with Alex Kidd in Miracle World and the Sonic the Hedgehog series of games made Sega a household name. This tradition has extended into even Sega's modern video game offerings.
