Prototype DreamSong unit.

The DreamSong (ドリームソング) is a presumed unreleased karaoke machine created by Sega. It was shown at the '98 Karaoke Festa event on the 25th and 26th September 1998[1], but is not thought to have made it into full production.

The DreamSong would have been an update to the Prologue 21 line, using internals similar to the Sega Dreamcast and NAOMI arcade boards, alongside a DVD player. It was also set to use the same media for saving data; VMUs, although the prototype machine on display seems to be lacking compatible ports.

The fate of this device is not understood, although a karaoke add-on for the Dreamcast, the Dreamcast Karaoke, likely features similar functions (albeit without the DVD support).
