Dreamzone was a French magazine which focused on the Sega Dreamcast. It was the first magazine of its kind in Europe, launching in December 1998, well ahead of the PAL release of the console, and was also one of the last Dreamcast magazines in Europe to close. Dreamzone was released on a monthly basis for the majority of its run, although it also had spells as a bi-monthly title at the beginning (prior to the PAL launch) and at the end (after the console had officially been discountinued). The magazine ran for a total of 29 issues, the majority of which had 132 pages. For most of its lifespan the lion's share of the title's page budget was dedicated to the Dreamcast. However, in the second half of 2001, Dreamzone widened its scope to cover all of the 128-bit consoles - a move that was undoubtedly a surival tactic in the face of the Dreamcast's dwindling release schedule. The magazine's two key competitors were 'Game Dream', another unofficial magazine published by FJM, and 'Dreamcast: Le Magazine Officiel'.
