Esco Boueki (エスコ貿易) also known as Esco Trading Co., Ltd. was a Japanese arcade game distributor and video game developer run by future Sega of Japan president Hayao Nakayama. As Nakayama was apparently dealing with the Japanese mafia to assist with his distribution deals, Sega Enterprises, Ltd. made the decision to purchase the company outright in 1979.[2]
Esco Boueki continued to develop and manufacture its own games until May 1985, when it was merged into Sega.
