The Xbox 360 version of Guardian Heroes (ガーディアンヒーローズ) is an enhanced version of the Sega Saturn game, Guardian Heroes, originally developed by Treasure and published by Sega in 1996.
This version was released through the Xbox Live Arcade in autumn 2011.

Gameplay
The 360 version of Guardian Heroes is broadly the same as its Saturn counterpart, but runs in a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and by default uses "enhanced" graphics, improving the 3D sections and attempting to upscale the 2D sprites. While an option exists to revert the graphics to their original look, there are still differences to the Saturn verison, owing largely to the larger screen resolution.
The gameplay has also been rebalanced and retooled to take advantage of the Xbox 360 controller. This version also includes a revised English translation closer to the Japanese original, and restores content that was removed from non-Japanese versions of the game. Multiplayer mode can go up to four players locally or up to twelve players online.
