Pet * Sega

プチ is the katakana spelling of 'petit/petite'. Since these games are usually known for being simplified versions of other titles, or are characterised by their chibi/kawaii aesthetics, the title "Petit*Sega" makes more sense than "Pet*Sega". See: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E3%83%97%E3%83%81

That would make sense, though the reason why I went with "pet" was due to the URL:
