Virtuality was a British company specialized in location based VR (Virtual Reality) entertainment[1][2], founded in 1987[3], in Leicester, England, United Kingdom by British inventor Dr.Jonathan Waldern[4] who has pioneered[5] Virtual Reality since 1980.

Virtuality assisted Sega in the development of the "Sega Net Merc" system. In 1997 the company was acquired[6] by and merged with Retinal Displays Inc., a Silicon Valley based company specialized in the development of Personal Display technology. Currently Dr.Jonathan Waldern is the president of Digilens[5] (founded in 2003 by him in Sunnyvale, California).
