Climax

I think I ran into this issue a few years ago - "Images" is short for "Images Design", who also created most home computer versions of Wonder Boy in Monster Land in addition to Shadow Dancer. This was before "Climax Studios" existed, so Images Design could be something they absorbed and took credit for.

Future spoilers: The 8-bit ports of WBiML credit Mediagenic (trading as Activision), Images Design (trading and Images) and "Software Studios" which is an unknown entity that... "did things". It's not confusing at all. -Black Squirrel (talk) 15:45, 26 August 2018 (CDT)

You're right... is a complete mess sometimes... What I know is that in Hall of light - The database of Amiga games, they call it Images Software... but the "Wayback Machine" is not helping...--Asagoth (talk) 16:17, 26 August 2018 (CDT)
Edit: Well... according to Bloomberg, Karl Jeffery started out in the industry as a freelance video games programmer in 1987, developing games on Spectrum, Amstrad and Sega console platforms for small UK publishing houses, and according to Mobygames he founded Images Software, Ltd in 1988, and he is credited in many of the games of that era expecially Mutant Monty (released in 1984)... and most likely the company was continued as Climax (and here Mobygames is speculating)... but I think this was what really happened... it's plausible... British companies ruled back then :)--Asagoth (talk) 17:47, 26 August 2018 (CDT)
Edit two: It looks like they made some ports of Wonder Boy in Monster Land as you said before... and of G-Loc Air Battle too...--Asagoth (talk) 05:00, 27 August 2018 (CDT)
