Virtua Racing was a rumored Sega Mega Drive port of the 1992 arcade racing game Virtua Racing, specially enhanced for use with the Sega VR headset. Following the announcement of Sega's in-development virtual reality technology, gaming press of the day drew connections between the system's 360° head tracking and the novel 3D graphics of Virtua Racing, and subsequently reported on rumors of a Sega VR port. Despite these claims, no evidence of the game entering development has been found, and is currently presumed to be nothing more than a rumor.
