Wappy Dog is a pet simulation for the Nintendo DS published by Activision.

This game was released with the eponymous toy by Sega Toys, not released in the game singly.

Gameplay

Home mode

Both the game and the toy can communicate with each other via DS' speakers and built-in microphone, respectively.

Travel mode

Mode made to play on the go without the toy.

Japanese Version

There is a Japanese version of the game, titled "Heart Energy Poochi(ハートエナジープーチ)" released in 2014. This version did not have a physical cartridge, with the dog instead coming with a download code for this Japanese version, which was a DSiWare title on the 3DS eShop. The only way to get this software was through the download code, as it was not offered for regular download. Unlike the international version, which had only a blue version of Wappy, the Japanese version also had a pink variant of Wappy available for purchase.
