Poseidon Wars 3D is ocean-based shooting game developed and published by Sega for the Sega Master System which uses the 3-D Glasses to create the illusion of depth.

Poseidon Wars 3D is based on Sega's 1982 3-D VCO Object arcade game SubRoc-3D.

Gameplay

The game is played from a first-person perspective, requiring the player to shoot down a series of enemy vessels and helicopters.

While Poseidon Wars 3D is a single one player game, two functions are mapped to the second control pad; 1 switches between 3D and 2D mode, while 2 exits the current mission[4].

History

During development, the game was known under the working title of Submarine 3D.[5]
