In the 70s Colombia was one of the countries where Sega imported its game machines.[1]
In the early 90s official distributor came to release Sega products in the region. The most popular of Sega's consoles was Sega Genesis released here in 1992[2], but it lost with Super Nintendo.[3] In 2001, Dreamcast was released in Colombia.[4]
In 2007, Synergex became a representative of Sega[5][6] and distributed titles until 2012. From late 2000s, Sega games are distributed locally by two distributors - Latam Games and NC Games[7][8].
