From 1980s to early 2000s, arcade machines were very popular in Uganda. One of the most popular titles from Sega on that system was Sega Rally. Mayanja Omar and Nasser Mutebi, two racers from Uganda who later competed in real rally championships, took it's inspiration from this game[1][2][3][4].
From mid-2000s, Sega games are released with more focus according to European standards.
