CA Sega Joypolis (CAセガジョイポリス株式会社), formerly Sega Live Creation Inc. (株式会社セガ・ライブクリエイション) is an amusement company that manages the Joypolis indoor theme parks in Japan and China, both the physical venues and content inside, including attractions and events.
Sega Live Creation was created in 2015, managing the remaining Joypolis theme parks; Tokyo Joypolis, Umeda Joypolis and Okayama Joypolis, the Orbi venues in Yokohama and Osaka, and Sega Republic in Dubai. It would also oversee the launch of Qingdao Joypolis and Shanghai Joypolis in China.
Sega Live Creation was sold to the Hong Kong-based CA Cultural Technology Group, becoming CA Sega Joypolis on 1st January 2017[2] (with the Orbi venues being held by Sega Holdings). Under this arrangement several of the remaining parks would close; Sega Republic in 2017, and Umeda and Okayama Joypolis in 2018. An attempt at a virtual reality-themed venue in Joypolis VR Shibuya would also be opened under CA Sega Joypolis' watch, though would close due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
CA Sega Joypolis operates independently from Sega, however still licenses Sega properties (and the name) for the remaining Joypolis parks.
