Tokyo Joypolis, the flagship indoor theme park

In addition to manufacturing arcade games, Sega began buying properties in the 1960s to house them all. Today, Sega owns some of the largest chains of "game centers" in Japan, as well as indoor theme parks and other entertainment venues. In the 1990s it expanded to other parts of the globe, and still has a foothold in other parts of Asia.
