Tomy Company, Ltd. (株式会社トミー) was a Japanese toy company that was founded in 1924 by Eiichiro Tomiyama and was best known for brands such as Tomica, Plarail, Nohohon Zoku, Pop the Pirate among others. In 2006, the company merged with Takara to form Takara Tomy, however the Tomy name is currently used internationally.
