Version comparisons
Title screen
Letter board
Vanna White is captured in full-motion video for the Mega-CD version, but she cannot turn the letters in this version and only walks past them as they turn themselves. In the other versions, she appears in sprite form and turns the letters herself, as she does on the show.
Contestants
Every version gives the player a choice of multiple personas: 6 in the Mega Drive version, 5 in the Game Gear version, and 8 in the Mega-CD version. Contestants are portrayed by FMV clips in the Mega-CD version.
Wheel of Fortune
The Mega Drive version shows the iconic Wheel of Fortune in an inset above the contestants, and the Game Gear version shows an overhead view of the Wheel. In both of these versions, the label of the selected wedge is shown in a separate text box. Only the Mega-CD version, because of its sprite rotation capabilities, is able to show the Wheel as it is depicted on the television show, taking up the full screen, with only part of it visible and with the labels printed on the wedges.
Bonus round
In the Mega Drive and Mega-CD versions, the player can pick any letter in "WHEEL" directly. In the Game Gear version, the game cycles through each letter until the player presses a button to stop it.
