This category contains arcade systems created before the introduction of the [[System 1]]. The use of several different architectures contributed to a wide array of games, from vector-based titles like ''[[Eliminator]]'' and ''[[Star Trek]]'' to Dual games such as ''[[Deep Scan]]'' and ''[[Head On]]'' and laserdisc titles like ''[[GP World (arcade)|GP World]]'' and ''[[Astron Belt]]''. Sega was able to get access to some of the technology for the systems as a result of their acquisition of [[Gremlin Industries]].
