Waterworld is an action platform game developed by Ocean Software. Based on the 1995 film Waterworld, 32-bit versions for the Sega 32X and Sega Saturn were planned for release in 1996[2][3] or early 1997[8] but were cancelled for unknown reasons - with only the Saturn version ever having started development. A 16-bit version for the Mega Drive was planned for release at the same time, but had its physical release cancelled around mid 1996, only to eventually be broadcast on the Sega Channel as one of the system's more notable downloadable exclusives.
