Metal Slug 6 is an entry in the Metal Slug series, and the first arcade game in the series to not be released on an SNK platform. It was instead released for the Sammy Atomiswave, where it was published by Sega in 2006.
Metal Slug 6 would later be ported to the PlayStation 2 and appear in compilations which followed. These were handled without Sega's involvement. The only other Metal Slug game with any relation to Sega is the original Metal Slug which saw a release on the Sega Saturn in Japan.
