It's great that you're bulking up these arcade hardware pages, but this isn't Wikipedia - a lot of the red links you've added will never get pages here.

This category is very old. Most of these pages originated from Sonic Retro where there's a Sonic the Hedgehog hacking scene being accommodated... and I'm not entirely sure why they were brought over, or honestly why some of these pages existed in the first place. My gut feeling is to abandon attempts to document the concepts of anti-aliasing or RAM or pixels and point towards Wikipedia's definitions, because those ones will be better and are more likely to be actively maintained.

It makes more sense for a more general wiki like Wikipedia to be the first port of call on these matters than a Sega-specific one like Sega Retro... because the idea of RAM isn't specific to Sega. Actually I might start scrapping these pages today. I forgot they were even here.

So yes just be careful when copying things from Wikipedia en masse. References too - a lot of Wikipedia's are naff. -Black Squirrel (talk) 04:16, 21 February 2015 (CST)

Thanks for the tip. I think I'll go back and try to fix up a lot of those red links. Over9000 (talk) 10:54, 21 February 2015 (CST)

Sega Retro is not Wikipedia--as such, copy/pasting content from Wikipedia doesn't really help us. That being said, if we host an asset, uh, link to our copy instead of SMS Power's. - Scarred Sun (talk) 12:11, 20 June 2015 (CDT)

Most of the stuff I've added are my own original work. However, I admit I have added bits from Wikipedia at times, which I'll try to avoid from now on. And yeah, I just noticed some of those resources are already available here, so I've already redirected several of those SMS Power links here. Over9000 (talk) 17:06, 20 June 2015 (CDT)

"Saturn Tsushin"

Tech Saturn or something else? -Black Squirrel (talk) 12:46, 29 June 2015 (CDT)

I didn't notice that page. But yeah, that's the one. Thanks for the link. Over9000 (talk)

The problem isn't so much that you're adding stuff to Yu Suzuki's page - that probabably needed doing, it's just that changing the formatting makes it different to everyone else. I don't think the way it's been built up over the years is perfect, but I'd rather have "a bit messy" than "inconsistent".

Truth be told it would be nice to have it more automated, although I'm not sure how that can be done efficiently. -Black Squirrel (talk) 10:07, 30 June 2015 (CDT)

I didn't notice those other developer pages before. I can see what you mean about consistency though. I don't mind going back to the old formatting, but I've made some other additions along the way, so it might take a little while. Over9000 (talk)
