The KGen series is a series of DOS-based Sega Mega Drive/Genesis emulators written by Steve Snake.

Written in 1997 for DOS.
KGen-X
Never released rewrite of KGen
KGen98
Complete KGen rewrite with more features, etc.. Written in 1998 for DOS.
After KGen98, Steve left the scene until 2002, where he released Kega, the first emulator of the Kega-series.
