System(s): Sega Model 2, Sega Saturn, Windows PC |
Publisher: Sega |
Developer: Sega AM3 |
Genre: Racing |
Sega Touring Car Championship is a Sega Model 2 game developed by Sega AM3 in 1996. Home ports to the Sega Saturn and Windows PC were handled by Sega AM9, and were released in 1997 and 1998 respectively.
The Sega Saturn port suffers from graphical cutbacks due to weaker graphics hardware, but it does include the cars from Sega Rally Championship as unlockables among various other touring cars which were missing in the arcade game. The PC version retains these added extras, but does not sacrifice graphical quality.
