Home BASIC is a BASIC language cartridge for the SC-3000. Unlike previous iterations of the software, Home BASIC offers the first meaningful upgrades, as well as demonstration software. It is also the first BASIC cartridge to work on both the SC-3000 and SG-1000. The cartridge features 4 options from the main menu.
(1) シュートゲーム (Shoot Game) | |
---|---|
An arena style shoot-em-up, where the object is to shoot enemies, avoid collisions and collect 4 cherries at the top of the screen. The game demonstrates what is possible with the BASIC language on the cart. Unusually, the game features no music or sound effects. | |
(2) けいさんボード (Keisan Board) | |
An advanced calculator. | |
(3) BASIC (Sega Home Basic ver 1.0j) | |
One of the last revisions of BASIC for the Sega SC-3000. However, it features about half as much free RAM as its predecessor BASIC Level III B. | |
(4) パターンのへんこう (Pattern no Henjou) | |
A sprite editor. |
