Mega Drive version
The ™ symbol is omitted from the Sega logo when played on a Japanese system.
Different publishers means that Virgin Games (with a crudely resized logo) is credited in the PAL version, rather than Arena. Arena is still credited in the Japanese version.
The music and sound effects where overhauled for the PAL version by Krisalis Software. They are added to the credits.
The PAL version uses a slightly different font.
Rather than just change the colour of helmets (as is the case with other ports of the game), the PAL versions differentiates players by giving them coloured body armour.
