The Sega Mega Drive Control Pad for Nintendo Switch, known as the Sega Mega Drive Fighting Pad 6B (セガ メガドライブ ファイティングパッド 6B) in Japan and South Korea, and the Sega Genesis Control Pad in North America, is a wireless controller for the Nintendo Switch. Sold exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online members on the My Nintendo Store, it is a replica of the official Control Pad for the Sega Mega Drive and is designed for use with Mega Drive games on Nintendo Switch Online.
It was announced at the September 2021 Nintendo Direct.

Hardware
Like many official controllers for the Nintendo Switch, the Mega Drive Control Pad connects to the console wirelessly, and has a USB-C port on the top for wired connections and to recharge its battery using the included USB-C cable. The controller's design varies across different regions - Japan and South Korea received a replica of the Six Button Control Pad, whereas the West only got the Three Button Control Pad though with the addition of the MODE button to access the Suspend Menu. As MODE is used for the Suspend Menu, it cannot be used as an additional button in games that use the button, such as Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master. All regional variants also include HOME and Capture buttons.
While other replica controllers designed for Nintendo Switch Online have unique controller icons in the Switch's UI, the Mega Drive Control Pad is identified as a generic Pro Controller. When used with the Mega Drive app, the menu sound effects will change to a variety of sound effects from various Sonic the Hedgehog games.
